06.05.2025, Penang, Sunny. Through continuous innovation, PSA has upgraded and advanced our SGT system, boosting the hardness of our abrasives to 7.0 Mohs and above. This breakthrough not only elevates durability and efficiency but also empowers PSA to tackle the most demanding industrial challenges with confidence. Its increased hardness ensures longer life, greater performance, and unmatched reliability, while reducing the breaking rate to minimize dust generation during sandblasting—a true testament to our commitment to safety, excellence, and innovation.
29.01.2025, Bintulu, Rain/Flood. Today, the PSA warehouse faced the worst flood in recent history. Although the main storage area had been elevated with landfill, protecting most of our stock, the forklift parking bay was not spared. Tragically, we lost around RM 300K worth of PSA. The scene was chaotic—a true nightmare for the team, testing our resilience and determination in the face of nature’s fury.

PSA stands for Premier Sharpshot Abrasive®, a type of Iron (Steel) Saturated Slag or Iron (Fe) Silicated Slag Granular. It is a synthetic, non-metallic, eco-friendly product manufactured in steel fabrication plants using Advance Rapid Slag Granulating Technology (R.S.G.T.) within an Electric Arc Furnace (E.A.F.) system, with temperatures ranging from 1473–1573 K (1200–1300 °C).
The molten silicate solutions produced in this process are ideal solution phases, due to the strong polymerization or associations formed by SiO₂ with basic oxides such as CaO, MgO, CoO, FeO, and NiO. The ‘bridging oxygen’ is consumed within the silicate network by the basic oxides to form SiO₄⁴⁻ tetrahedra, and ‘free’ iron oxides are present in the molten silicate structure.
Premier Sharpshot Abrasive, with the chemical composition Fe₂SiO₄/SiO₂/SiO₃, has a strong polymerization structure with SiO. Technology experts confirm that PSA Abrasive will NOT form free silica dust, making it a safe, environmentally friendly product. It contains no heavy metal chemical components and complies with the principles of Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle.

Premier Sharpshot Abrasive® (Ball/Grit) adalah bijirin terak leburan logam (Non-Metallic), sintetik sebatian silikat dalam proses perleburan.
Merujuk kepada surat Jabatan Alam Sekitar (KSA&AS) No. 91/110/619/130 Jld.3(28) bertarikh 28 Dis 2007, “Steel atau Iron Slag” TIDAK DISENARAIKAN dalam Jadual Pertama, Peraturan-Peraturan Kualiti Alam Sekitar (Buangan Terjadual) 2005.
Segala jawapan dan kelulusan rasmi hendaklah diperoleh daripada Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (DOSH), Malaysia sahaja. Maklumat dari EKF adalah untuk panduan sahaja.

EKF received the test results confirming that our Premier Sharpshot Abrasive® (Shot/Ball & Grit) does not contain any heavy metal chemical components and is free from crystalline silica dust.
This means that our Premier Sharpshot Abrasive (Ball/Grit) is environmentally safe and poses no risk of silicosis to workers, reaffirming our commitment to health, safety, and sustainable industrial practices.
05 Jan 2021, Penang – Sun EKF received a call from DOSH, Putrajaya, to clarify several items on the latest SDS of Premier Sharpshot Abrasive. In response to DOSH’s request, we amended the SDS to the latest 2021 Rev.1, providing more specific confirmations on certain information. Acting promptly, EKF also submitted Premier Sharpshot Abrasive for third-party laboratory testing at Union Laboratories Sdn Bhd to verify the content of heavy metal chemical components, beryllium, and crystalline silica dust, ensuring the product’s safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Oh, the President of Ecomaister Co. Ltd, R.O. Korea. The letter, dated 01 February 2019 with Ref. Number: EcoM/BM/EBI/SURIA/EKF/2019/02, officially appointed our subsidiaries, Suria/EKF, as the sole stockist in Malaysia.”
