EKF received call from DOSH, Putrajaya to clarify few items stated on latest SDS of Premier Sharpshot Abrasive. Upon request by DOSH, we had amended to latest copy 2021 Rev.1 due to some information contents need more specific confirmation. With immediate respond, EKF had submitted Premier Sharpshot Abrasive for 3rd lab test (Union Laboratories Sdn Bhd) to confirm the content of Heavy Metal Chemical Components and the content of Crystalline Free Silica Dust.

EKF received the test results which clearly stated that our Premier Sharpshot Abrasive® (Shot/ Ball & Grit) DOESN’T content any of Heavy Metal Chemical Components and the content of Crystalline Free Silica Dust. These means our Premier Sharpshot Abrasive (Ball/Grit) will NOT harm our environment and cause workers to Silicosis.

EKF dengan segala hormatnya merujuk kepada perkara tersebut di atas dan mengesahkan bahawa Premier Sharpshot Abrasive® (Shot/ Ball & Grit) adalah TIDAK MEMERLUKAN kelulusan yang dikehendaki di bawah Peraturan 5, Peraturan-Peraturan Kilang dan Jentera (Habuk Gaian)1989 dan TIDAK DISENARAIKAN di bawah Jadual Ketiga (Sub-peraturan 8(6) Pernyataan Bahaya Gabungan, Jadual Keempat (Peraturan (1) Dimensi Label dan Jadual Kelima (Peraturan 13) Nilai Pemisah Kepekatan dalam P.U.(A)310 dalam akta tersebut di atas. Premier Sharpshot Abrasive (Ball/Grit) adalah bijirin terak leburan logam (Non-Metallic), Sintetik sebatian Silikat dalam Proses Perleburan. Merujuk kepada surat dari Jabatan Alam Sekita (KSA&AS) ,91/110/619/130 Jld.3(28) bertarikh 28 Dis 2007 menjelaskan bahawa “Steel atau Iron Slag” TIDAK DISENARAIKAN dalam Jadual Pertama di bawah, Peraturan-Peraturan Kualiti Alam Sekeliling (Buangan Terjadual) 2005. Jawapan dan kelulusan tersenarai diatas dengan secara rasminya hendaklah memohon dari Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (DOSH), Malaysia sahaja. Infomasi dari EKF untuk panduan sahaja.

What is PSA? PSA stand from Premier Sharpshot Abrasive®, type of Iron (Steel) Saturated Slag or Iron (Fe) Silicated Slag Granular. The Synthetic, Non-Metallic, Green Labeled Product and manufactured in steel products fabrication plant by Slag Atomizing Technology (S.A.T) in Electric Arc Furnace (E.A.F) System with spanned the temperature range of 1473–1573 K (1200–1300 °C). Molten silicate solutions are noni deal solution phases, due to the strong polymerization or associates formed by SiO2 with basic oxides, such as CaO and MgO, CoO, FeO, and NiO. All ‘bridging oxygen’ has been consumed in the silicate network by the basic oxide for the formation of SiO4 4− tetrahedral, and ‘free’ iron oxides are present in the molten silicate structure. Premier Sharpshot Abrasive, Fe2SiO4/SiO2/SiO3 has a strong polymerization structure with SiO and confirmed by the technology experts that PSA Abrasive CONFIRMED WILL NOT form Free Silica Dust and confirmed is an environmental friendly product which NOT CONTENT any Heavy Metal Chemical Components and also complied with Reduce, Reuse & Recycle principles.
